History

A surprising and exclusive view over the charming terraces of Maglie, architectural combinations, star-shaped vaulted ceilings, stairs and arches, staggered terraces, refined décor and design items. In the historic center of our town, Ricci Rooms & Design is born, a project that renews the concept of hospitality, making itself a location of inspiration and continuous development in the name of a timeless fil rouge: beauty.

HISTORY

Situated in the old town of Maglie, in the heart of Salento, our accomodation facility is next to Sant’Antonio Abate church, which dates back to 1550. The tales say that the building, at the beginning, was a small monastery which would later become the first tiny ecclesiastical village.

During the centuries, our building has been renovated, becoming a melting pot of different styles and architectural techniques. Ignazio Ricci, a monk and theologian who lived in 1700, gives the name to our Bed & Breakfast. It is believed that the symbol of the city appeared for the first time on the façade of this building in 1610, making it the symbol of our beautiful town.

An architecht and a fashion designer who have always been committed to Art and Design, decide to create a project whose purpose is to give new life to art elements.  Ricci Rooms & Design project has just started, but it is already evolving, allowing guests to feel new emotions by admiring and experiencing design items.
